Therapy For People Who Love The Outdoors

From someone who loves the outdoors.

I’m an avid outdoorsman (I’ve taken almost all the photography on this site). People who spend time outdoors tend to handle a lot on their own. Whether we’re fishing, hiking, or backpacking we learn to rely on ourselves and keep moving no matter what nature throws our way. Often people are amazed by stories that don’t faze us: cold days in the rain, a tent pole snapping, or long miles with heavy packs. For us it often feels easier to face hard miles outside than the challenges at home. Maybe you’re going through a big change; a new job, an injury, a loss (life is full of losses other than deaths), or noticing that the quiet doesn’t feel as peaceful as it used to. Take care of your mental health the same way you care for your body and gear.

In our sessions, you won’t get jargon or judgment, just a calm space to slow down, talk things through, and reconnect with what matters most. I often integrate nature into the healing process through eco-therapy and walk-and-talk sessions for those who think better with their boots on (we can meet virtually or in office too). Research confirms what you intuitively know; being outdoors, hearing the wind and feeling the ground under your feet helps us clear our heads and see things in a new light.

As an experienced therapist in Fanwood I help my clients navigate challenging emotions and build their Good Life.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or complicated. It’s about understanding what’s been weighing you down, and moving toward a steadier, more grounded life. If you’re ready to find your footing again I’d be honored to walk that trail with you. Give me a ring and let’s chat.

Change is possible. There is hope.

Build your Good Life today.
